About two weeks ago, Newton High two-way star, D.J. Hill, took his recruitment to the next step when…
Hill Down to Four
It appears that Hill is having quite a productive year so far. And though he seems heavily focused on his senior season with Newton, recruiting is certainly not the last thing on his mind. In fact, the 6-1, 215 pound head-hunter just recently eliminated another school from his lists of favorites. "I've narrowed it down to four schools," Hill said. "My top four schools are Virginia, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Middle Tennessee."
During one of our previous interviews with Hill over the summer, the gifted athlete out of Georgia shared that Ole Miss held a slight edge over everyone else. But however, that doesn't appear to be the case now. Hill informed us that everyone listed in his top four has a legitimate shot at landing his signature February 2011.
D.J. has had the opportunity to unofficially visit 3 out of the 4 schools on his short list. But in an effort to get a better feel for what each one of them has to offer, he plans to take official visits with them in the near future. In fact, two of them have already been set up. "I haven't taken any of my official visits yet, but I have a couple of them planned already," Hill said. "I have one in October with Virginia, and one in November with Vanderbilt. I still have to schedule one for Ole Miss, and I am probably going to schedule one for Middle Tennessee too."
Hill is uncertain when he will be scheduling his officials to Ole Miss and Middle Tennessee. He informed VandyMania.com that he will simply play it by ear. For now he will continue focusing primarily on his senior season with Newton, in an effort to close out his prep football career on a high note.
Stay tuned with VandyMania.com for much more on Hill in the near future.
