Vanderbilt gains Virginia punter
Posted Aug 2, 2011 has learned that punter Colby Cooke of Goochland High School in Virginia has committed to Vanderbilt. Look inside for more on this breaking news.

"I committed to Vanderbilt this morning," said punter Colby Cooke. "I kept falling love with the place. Everything was amazing."

"I said 'coach I want to be a Commodore,'" said Cooke as he described his conversation with head coach James Franklin.

Cooke averaged over 40 yards a punt as a junior and made 10-of-12 field goals including a long of 47 yards.

Cooke also had interest from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Richmond and South Carolina.
