Former Wyoming quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels is enrolled as a student at Vanderbilt and attended a Commodore practice on Monday in street clothes.

In two seasons at Wyoming Carta-Samuels completed 345 of 578 passes (60%) for 3,655 yards, 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also rushed for 758 yards and six scores. Carta-Samuels was named the Mountain West Conference Freshmen of the Year after the 2009 season.

Although no official announcement has been made by Vanderbilt, Carta-Samuels will likely sit out the 2011 season and should be eligible to play in 2012 and 2013.
