Baseball: Vandy eases past Cats, 7-5

Vanderbilt continued its drive towards a berth in the SEC Baseball Tournament with a 7-5 defeat of Kentucky Friday in Lexington. The men in Black & Gold pounded out 17 hits and scored four times in the eighth. Jeremy Sowers (6-4) picked up the win for the Commodores. Vanderbilt (24-23, 11-14 SEC) and Kentucky (20-29, 6-19) meet again Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
