The Vanderbilt Commodores defeated Elon, 45-14, on Saturday. Each week VandyMania.com will honor an offensive, defensive, and unsung hero of the game. Look inside to see which players get honored this week.

OFFENSE: Larry Smith

Smith, a senior quarterback from Prattville, Ala. passed for 125 and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He also ran for 34 yards on 4 carries and scored a touchdown on a 16-yard scamper in the second quarter

DEFENSE: Chris Marve

The venerable Marve, a senior linebacker from Memphis, had 12 tackles including six solos and two tackles for losses. He is on pace to become one of the SEC's all-time top tacklers.

UNSUNG HERO AWARD: John Cole

Cole, a senior wide receiver/punt returner from Somerset, Ky., displayed steady reliablity on special teams and returned two punts for 14 yards including a long return of 13 yards. Cole also had one reception for nine yards.
