The Vanderbilt Commodores defeated Connecticut, 24-21, on Saturday night. Each week VandyMania.com honors an offensive, defensive, and unsung hero of the game. Look inside to see which players get honored this week.

OFFENSE:Zac Stacy

Stacy, a junior running back from Centreville, Ala., ran for 58 yards on 10 carries. Late in the fourth quarter he scampered 48 yards to the Connecticut 15 to put the Commodores in position for the winning Carey Spear field goal.

DEFENSE: Casey Hayward

Hayward, a senior from Perry, Ga., intercepted a pass by UConn's Johnny McEntee which he returned 50 yards for a Commodore touchdown, tying the game at 21.

UNSUNG HERO AWARD: Chase White

White, a 6-foot-5, 280 pound redshirt freshman from Plano, Texas made his first career start at left guard after Jabo Burrow was sidelined due to injury.
