Tre Griffin talks status of commitment

Tre Griffin, currently in his senior season at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Ga., has been committed to the Vanderbilt football program since April. He was the first commitment in the class of 2012 for the new coaching staff headed by James Franklin. He confirmed his pledge to Vanderbilt, but may be looking at other options.

"I'm still verbally committed to Vanderbilt," said Tre Griffin. "Right now I need a higher ACT or SAT score to get in. I'm definitely going to take the tests again, one the 22nd [of October] and the other in November. I'm working with a tutor to help me improve my scores next time around."
