Players of the Week

The Vanderbilt Commodores fell to Tennessee, 27-21, on Saturday. Each week honors an offensive, defensive, and unsung hero of the game. Look inside to see which players get honored this week.

OFFENSE: Archibald Barnes

Barnes, a junior linebacker from Tampa, Fla., finished the game with two interceptions. His first interception was returned to the Tennessee 6-yard-line and set the Commodores up for their first touchdown of the game. His second interception was returned 100 yards for a touchdown and tied the score at 21.

DEFENSE: Brandon Barden

Barden, a senior tight end from Lincolnton, Ga., provided excellent blocking during the game. Barden has over 100 career receptions for the Commodores.


Greenstone, a senior defensive tackle from Lawrenceville, Ga., had two tackles during the game and Vanderbilt's only sack of the game. Recommended Stories
