Trey Wilkins enrolled at Vanderbilt

With the high tuition costs involved in attending a private university, Vanderbilt doesn't get many walk-on players. This January, however, Trey Wilkins, a 6-foot, 196-pound wide receiver decided to follow his dream from high school of playing for the Commodore program and transferred in from Division II Harding University.

"When I was a junior in high school, I was being heavily recruited by Bobby Johnson," Trey Wilkins said. "I thought I would be going to school there, but when Coach Johnson retired the recruiting stopped. I waited, but as time went on I never heard anything from the new staff and signed with Harding."
