OFFENSE

Chris Boyd, wide receiver

Boyd, a sophomore from Roswell, Ga., had six catches for 76 yards during the game. Boyd now has seven catches for the season.
DEFENSE

Trey Wilson, cornerback

Trey Wilson, a senior from Shreveport, La., had two excellent pass break ups during the game that helped thwart Northwestern drives. He also had two tackles during the game. Wilson has been a important part of a VU passing defense that has limited its first two opponents to an average of only 100 yards passing per game.
UNSUNG HERO

Caleb Azubike, defensive end

Azubike, a freshman from Nashville, Tenn., had a third quarter sack of quarterback Cain Colter that helped stifle a Northwestern drive. It was Vanderbilt's only sack of the game.
