Mack Prioleau was among the athletes who were in Nashville for Vanderbilt's summer camp. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound athlete, who attends All Saints Episcopal School of Fort Worth in Texas, has played defensive end for most of his high school career, but is being recruited by the Commodore staff at outside linebacker.

"The Vandy camp was great," said Mack Prioleau. "I was there a couple of weeks ago. I was working with Coach Pry and Coach Shoop. They were both very complimentary of my quickness, footwork and change of direction. I ran a 4.7 which is one of my best [40-yard dash] times. I'm.. playing Sam [linebacker] this year, so they want me to send in highlight film from my first three games. I really loved it there and think [Vanderbilt] would be a great fit for me."

An excellent 4.0 student, Prioleau has been receiving strong interest from many of the Ivy leagues colleges including Princeton, Harvard, and Yale. He holds one offer from Colgate (at defensive end) but is staying in contact with SMU, Colorado, and Kansas after putting in solid performances at their camps this summer.

"Academics are very important to me," Prioleau said. "That's why I'm so high on Vanderbilt, Stanford, and the Ivy League schools. My father and grandfather both went to Princeton so they're probably my favorite from the Ivy League. The important thing though is the people. The people in the program is what I'm going to consider most."

In his junior season, Prioleau was named First Team All SPC (Southwest Preparatory Conference) on a team that went 9-2 but fell in the Texas SPC Division II state final to Arlington Oakridge.

"Playing defensive end I made 68 tackles and eight sacks," he said. "We lost a lot on offense and I had to play left tackle at only 198 [pounds]. We play a 4-2-5 defense. I'll play one of the two inside linebackers, but I'll do a lot of dropping back a lot in coverage. We have a ton of great players coming back and I think I'm going to have a huge senior year. Hopefully, I can show off what I can do [at linebacker] and send out my tape and get some positive feedback on it."

Prioleau's teammates, Charlie Reid and Xavier Phillips, have made their commitments. Reid chose TCU while Phillips, who had an Vanderbilt offer, gave his verbal pledge to Baylor.
