VUWBB: Hoops Crew Picnic 2012

On Saturday afternoon the Hoops Crew, the booster group for women's basketball, hosted their annual picnic for women's basketball fans, players and staff. Although the coaches were on the road recruiting, all sixteen players attended. Whitney D. shares her photos from the event.

The Hoops Crew works throughout the year to support Vanderbilt women's basketball, from decorating the locker room for the holidays to sponsoring road trips to selected road games to sponsoring a variety of events for fans, players, and staff.

The tipoff for the year's activities is the annual picnic. A couple of years ago, the picnic moved to a convenient location on Olin Lawn, a short walk from Memorial Gym. The coaches were on the road recruiting during the single evaluation weekend on the NCAA's recruiting calendar, so none of the coaches could attend. But all sixteen players were in attendance along with several members of the women's basketball staff and administrative staffs.
