Green's Gone National

Wesley Green added a big offer over the weekend and he is excited about the national interest he is receiving.

"I talked to Coach [Tee] Martin on Saturday and he offered me a scholarship. He told me that the coaches checked out my film, that they really like my confidence, size, and ball skills, and that USC was offering me," said Wesley Green.

The Trojan offer is No. 14 for the junior cornerback out of Lithonia (Ga.) M.L.K. and he is excited about this one.

"USC has had so many great players and for them being a school so far away knowing about me means a lot. Just to get looked at by USC is great, but to get an offer means something. They are all the way across the country and a nationally known program, so it is big."

The 5-foot-11, 170 pound corner has two interceptions on the season and they have both been returned for touchdowns.

He is drawing a lot of attention and he likes that.

"Georgia, North Carolina State, Clemson, Alabama, and South Carolina are the schools recruiting me the most right now. All of them have offered me."

Green plans to visit Clemson when they play North Carolina State on November 17 and the Tigers currently lead for the Scout300 junior.

"I really like the system that Clemson runs and they are on top right now," Green told Scout. "I think I can get on the field early there and I like how they play fast.

"After Clemson, I would put Georgia at No. 2, Florida at No. 3, and South Carolina at No. 4 right now."

Green is the No. 20 corner in the 2014 class on Scout.
