PETE’S PIGSKIN PROGNOSTICATIONS

PETE’S PIGSKIN PROGNOSTICATIONS
WEEK 12
LAST WEEK (4-3)-----OVERALL (71-18)
Before we get started, let me say this. I make these picks for fun, and try for some amusing comments along the way. My prototype was “Leonard’s Losers”. Though I decided to pick winners, there’s not much difference. I don’t include any deep analysis, because you can get literally reams of analysis on the internet 24/7, ranging from self—appointed “experts” to out of work coaches and pundits who will say anything in order to stir up a controversy to increase ratings. (viz. Internet reports Dooley was to be fired on Monday, etc. etc.)
Have fun with it. If you don’t like the pick, there’s no need to get personal. It’s just a game…..really.
It’s cupcake week number two for a lot of SEC teams. No fewer than 7 SEC teams are hosting FCS foes this week, in preparation for the final season-ending traditional rivalries.
Western Carolina @
Alabama
– The Tide really could probably name the score on this game. Not that Alabama needs a tune-up game to get ready for
Auburn
next week. Alabama 72 – Western Carolina 0.
There’s just nothing to be said about the following 6 games. Split it up however you like: SEC 270 – money games 55

Missouri
– Here’s a chance to squeeze the Orange two weeks in a row. It should be easier this time. Tigers 24 – Orangemen 17.
Arkansas
@
Mississippi State
– The Bulldogs still have a chance for a pretty good season, the Pigs are just hoping for the season to end. This appears to be a good recipe for bacon. MSU 28 – Arkansas 14
Mississippi @
LSU
– Mississippi needs one more win to become bowl eligible. Ain’t gonna happen this week. LSU 31 – Mississippi 17
Tennessee
@
Vanderbilt
– After giving up over 400 yards passing to
Ole Miss
last week, I fear that UTK could go over 800. Bray is a good enough passer that the Orange won’t be settling for field goals from the red zone. The question is whether or not VU can keep up with Tennessee scores. UTK 51 – Vandy 41
