PETE’S PIGSKIN PROGNOSTICATIONS
Pete Fox (VM/Brent Wiseman)

This is my last set of predictions. The animosity of the few has begun to wear on me, and it’s just not worth it to me to continue. Several parting shot quotes come to mind: “You won’t have (me) to kick around anymore” –Richard Nixon “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn” - Rhett Butler See the end of the column for my choice.
PETE’S PIGSKIN PROGNOSTICATIONS
WEEK 13
LAST WEEK (9-2)-----OVERALL (80-20)
Auburn
@
Alabama
– Warm-up for the SEC championship game. Tide 37 – Auburn 10
LSU
@
Arkansas
(Friday) – Arkansas is just waiting for Gruden (he wore a red tie on MNF!) LSU 24 – Pigs 16
Florida
@
Florida State
– Driskel will play, but how effective he will be is anyone’s guess. The oddsmakers won’t even put a line on this game, but Florida’s been spotty all year on offense. They won’t be able to score enough to beat the Seminoles. FSU 28 – Gators 17
Georgia Tech
@
Georgia
– Tech, for heaven’s sake, got beat by MTSU. They can’t possibly stay with Georgia. Georgia 35 – Ramblin’ Wreck 14
Kentucky
@
Tennessee
– A totally irrelevant game played by two totally irrelevant teams. This game is notable only for the fact that neither team has a head coach, and neither team has an SEC win. Empty seats will prevail in Neyland Stadium. Tennessee is demoralized and disinterested, but Kentucky is a truly bad football team. Tennessee 49 – Kentucky 14
South Carolina
@
Clemson
– South Carolina is wounded, but still capable. Clemson will be ready to apply the coup de grace to the chickens, however. Carnivores 28 – Prey 23
Mississippi State
@ Mississippi – This is easily the most interesting game of the week. Mississippi State has had a season of failed promise, while
Ole Miss
is for sure a team on the way up (not unlike VU-UT). For fun…Rebs 41 – MSU 18
Missouri
@
Texas A&M
– Sorry Mizzou, there will be no bowl game this year. TAMU 31 – Mizzou 17
Vanderbilt
@
Wake Forest
– It’s difficult to understand how Wake Forest is 5-6. Well, looking at their schedule, not so much, as the wins came against the bottom-feeders of the ACC and weak non-conf schools. They lost their last two games by a combined score of 75 – 6, and figure to be a pretty demoralized, beaten down team. Yeah, they’re trying to become bowl eligible, but really….Coming in from the dark side… VU 38 – Deacs 14
Bonus pick – Alabama 24 – Georgia 17
