Brentwood Academy CB will camp at Vandy

At Brentwood Academy in the Nashville area, players like C.J. Sanders and Jackson Pittman are already accumulating offers, but other rising seniors like Aaquil Annoor are firmly on the D1 radar. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Annoor has been establishing himself at combines in Birmingham and Atlanta as well as coming off a solid junior performance.

"Recruiting has been coming along quite well," Annoor told "I've visited Vanderbilt twice, Duke, and Western Kentucky. I have not heard from Vanderbilt since the new coaching staff came in but my coach said they were asking about me and plan on coming to our spring practice.

"I'm hearing from Tennessee, Clemson, Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, East Carolina, and Navy. I've gotten mail from Navy, but my old teammate, Amos Mason, told me they were asking about me.

"The top aspect I'm looking for is education. I want to go somewhere that will push me as a student, as athlete and as a person."

Annoor has been a varsity starter at Brentwood Academy ever since his freshman season. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back alternates between cornerback and free safety for the Eagles.

"We did well," Annoor said on his junior season. "We lost to the eventual state champions, Ensworth, who we beat once during the regular season. I was named first team All-Region. I think my best strengths are good technique, and good in the hips and feet. A lot of people said that I wasn't physical enough but I focused on that at the NUC combine and I think I proved those people wrong.

"Last year I had four picks and around 50 tackles, but this year I want to have at least five picks. I want a bunch of forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. Basically I want to dominate and do it all. Our main goal is to win state. We have a lot of weapons coming back so we should be dangerous."

Annoor has an older brother, Radir Annoor, who plays at Tennessee Tech. This summer, Anoor plans on camping at Duke, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and Tennessee. Recommended Stories
