Vanderbilt cheerleaders are all smiles before the game, despite the threat of intermittent rain.







The combination of a dreary day and a lightly regarded opponent held the crowd down significantly. How empty was it? The paid attendance was announced as 16,500, but the actual crowd was... somewhat less than that. Here's a view of the east stands as the players took the field for the first half.







This photo of the west stands was made midway through the second quarter.







Jeff Jennings (invisible to camera) would carry the ball to the 1-yard line late in the second half. He would not score on this play, but...
