Eric Hensley , a 6-foot-7, 290-pound lineman from Clinton (Tenn.) High School in east Tennessee, verbally committed to Vanderbilt Saturday on an unofficial visit. The senior becomes Vanderbilt's third commitment for 2005, joining cornerback Mackenzi Adams (Tulsa, Okla.) and Joel Caldwell (Hoover, Ala.).
"I came up today for the game and loved everything about it," said Hensley. "I love the coaches especially. I decided to go ahead and tell them this morning."
Hensley, one of the most impressive prospects at the Commodores' top prospects camp last summer, was part of a large number of unofficial visitors who watched Vanderbilt's 34-17 loss to Florida Saturday. Verbal commitments are not binding. Prospects are not permitted to sign with a school until February, 2005.
