Another outstanding speedy linebacker is Patrick Benoist.  Benoist sports a 4.6 forty and was named to the First Team All-Texas 5-A team at linebacker. During senior season, had 148 tackles, 16 tackles for losses, 3 sacks and 1 interception.  For more on Benoist, check out the links below:

The Commodore staff is said to be looking for two more linebackers to commit.  Here are linebackers that are believed to have been offered by the Vandy staff:
 
Domonic Hopson (6-2, 232) Talented player who fits the mold of a college middle linebacker.  Recorded 143 tackles, 7 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries. For his efforts, he earned Most Valuable Defensive Player by the Biloxi Sun-Herald.  Hopson has offers from Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Rice and Southern Miss.  For more on this fine prospect check out the links below:

Vandaral Shackleford (6-1, 205)  Shackleford is a three star scout rated linebacker.  Shackleford had 85 tackles, five sacks, four knockdowns, and three forced fumbles last year as a junior.   Shackleford at last check was leaning heavily towards Duke but had not committed.  For more on Shackleford, see the links below:

LaBrandon Glover (6-1, 215) Glover is another three star scout rated linebacker.  He has verbally committed to Mississippi State but has been checking out other schools.  Despite an injury during his senior season, Glover still managed to record 80 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions and 3 sacks in 7 games.  See the links below for more on Glover:
