Chris Marve made the Honor Roll for three straight years at White Station and carries an almost perfect GPA. The talented linebacker earned All-Region for the second straight season. A boni fide leader on the field, Marve was named captain of his team as a junior.
Marve talked to Scout.com in April about his strengths on the field, "I love the game of football, which I will feel you have to have to play linebacker at the level that I expect out of myself. I feel I am an athlete, and that gives me the ability to make the plays at linebacker."
Marve told the Commercial Appeal that, "Vanderbilt seemed like the place for me. I've got a 4.0 GPA and a 21 on the ACT, and it's a good academic school. It's not too far from home and it's SEC football. With all of that put together, I really feel like it's the best place for me to go."
Marve was also recruited by Alabama, Ole Miss, Louisville, Kentucky, Stanford and Virginia Tech in addition to Vanderbilt.
