Scouting South Carolina

South Carolina (12-11, 2-8 SEC) comes to Nashville Wednesday having loss four consecutive games after a 73-54 setback at home to Georgia on Saturday. The loss was the Gamecocks’ first in nearly a month decided by more than six points.

Tre’ Kelley leads the league in scoring with 19.7 points since the start of SEC play. He has attempted almost twice as many shots from the field (163) as any other Gamecock during league action. Kelley’s 5.14 assists per games this season lead all South Carolina players.

Brandon Wallace is close to averaging a double-double on the season. The 6-9 center is averaging 17.8 points and 9.6 rebounds. He ranks second in the SEC with 2.78 blocks per game this season and leads USC with 31 steals on the year.

South Carolina leads the SEC, averaging the fewest turnovers per game (11.7) for the year. Since the start of SEC action, South Carolina ranks third in 3-pointers per game (8.40), fourth in turnover margin (+0.60) and fifth in 3-point shooting (35.7 percent) and blocks (4.30 per game).
