NASHVILLE-- The 2007 NCAA National Bowling Champions returned home to a happy crowd of fans, family and friends on Sunday evening. VandyMania's Whitney D. was there and captured these images.

By 6 o'clock, the crowd was beginning to gather at the McGugin Center.

The cheerleading squad came straight from try-outs for next year's squad. Two lucky high school seniors, who will officially become Dores next fall, were able to cheer for Vanderbilt's first national championship team in their first-ever cheering experience at Vanderbilt.

Tina Wirth and Jen Risper from the women's basketball team arrived just in time to join the celebration.

Merideth Marsh and Lauren Lueders, also from the women's basketball team, were there, too.

First order of business was to greet friends and family who had gathered.

Football Coach Bobby Johnson was there.

The team posed for many photos with the championship trophy.

Josie Earnest, the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, was in demand by the media.
