Week 3
Vanderbilt 31 Ole Miss 17
J2M presents this weeks shining stunners
MVP

#22 TB Cassen Jackson Garrison
CJG (as he is known in these circles) had perhaps his best game in Commodore black and gold. Against Ole Miss the Commodores started the game a man down due to Jeff Jennings Injury. If the coaches were wondering how CJG would respond....he answered. CJG dominated on the way to posting a 23 carry 127 yard, three TD performance.
Defensive Stunner

#47 MLB Jonathan Goff
Goff continued his tradition of shutting down big time ball carriers. Goff and his solid play were a big part of slowing down Ole Miss ball carrier Ben Jarvis Green Ellis. Ellis finished the night with 21 carries for only 66 yards.
Unsung Heroes

#96 DE Steven Stone
Steven Stone has a knack for rushing the quarterback. This is the third week in a row that Stone has caught my eye with his ability to provide pressure on the opposing signal callers. Stone only recorded one official sack tonight but he consistently was in the Rebel backfield and helped several of his teammates record sacks of their own.
Honorable mention

#6 CB Darlron Spead DB
If you have attended the last three games you can't help but notice #6 jumping up and down and trying to pump up the crowd on his way into the game. This guy has great energy and always is upbeat and ready to make a play for the Dores. Spead only registered one official tackle and one pass breakup tonight from his nickel slot but he too was busy covering reciecvers and rushing the passer on at least two occasions that I remember.
