(5-1 last week, 48-9 overall)
Frequently in error, never in doubt
For those of you who want to see picks against the spread, go elsewhere. For the rest of you.........
Arkansas @ Mississippi – Ole Miss played the Tide right down to the wire last week before losing. I look for the same thing to happen this week. Arkansas by 3.
Mississippi State @ West Virginia – The gamblers make this a 23 point game, but it won’t be that close. MSU is ready for a real let-down after playing a tough game against the Vols. WVA by 31.
Florida @ Kentucky – Who can tell? Down one week, up the next. Is this week the down again? The SEC fined UK $50000 big ones for poor security (again) on the field. You can bet there will be more security for this game, but I don’t think they will be needed. The Gators have all the film they need to inspire them to actually cover the Kentucky receivers. Florida by 10.
Auburn @ LSU – LSU, having choked away the nation’s number one ranking, is now playing for the SEC West title. LSU by 15.
UTK @ Alabama – This game has all of the precursor indications of a classic matchup. Both teams are somewhat inconsistent. Both teams still have a chance at division titles. Both teams hate each other. The game started out even, but the gamblers bet Alabama up to -1.5 on Monday, and back down to even on Thursday. A very unusual pattern. Tennessee has finally recovered from the pasting at Florida, and will not be tested until November 24 at Kentucky. UTK by 10.
Vanderbilt @ South Carolina – The natives are getting restless at Vandy. The hyper-conservative playcalling of the last several weeks has the Vandy faithful (both of them) beginning to question the chances of Bobby Johnson finally getting the Black and Gold out of the football Sargasso Sea. The Evil Genius at South Carolina is 15-0 against the Commodores. After this week it will be 16-0. USC by 24.
