The Vanderbilt Commodore picked up their 20th commit on Wednesday when Decatur, Ga. (Columbia HS) sleeper defensive end Antonio Wilson announced he was headed to Vandy. Antonio Wilson is a 6-6, 220 pound player who saw his first action during his senior year but quickly impressed college recruiters.

Antonio Wilson committed at his school on Tuesday. He cited the Vanderbilt coaching staff and solid academics as his main reasons for picking the Commodore program. "They have a big school, they are in the SEC and have a nice coaching staff. They have a good academic staff there."

Wilson, who has 4.6 speed, is projected to play at defensive end at Vandy but mentioned that he might get a shot at wide receiver.

He played his first year of high school football as a senior but that season was cut short due to an injury sustained in an automobile accident. In four games Wilson had 25 tackles and 11 sacks. Wilson is fully healed from the injury.

Winston Salem State, Southern University and Charleston State all offered Wilson in addition to Vandy. Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Navy and LSU showed interest in Wilson.

Wilson visited for the Vanderbilt's game with Wake Forest, which he talked about, "They played Wake Forest, they invited me and some other players. We sat down and we ate a lot and we talked about the school. They brought in their strength trainer and they talked about he was one of the best in the nation at getting players big and strong."

Wilson, who is the fifth player to commit to Vanderbilt from Georgia, is an outstanding student and sports a 4.0 GPA. Vanderbilt assistant Kenny Carter recruited him. Wilson's high school coach is Kevin Latham who played for the University of Tennessee.

Commits are non-binding. National Signing Day is on February 6th. For a complete list of Vanderbilt commits click HERE
