PETE’S PIGSKIN PROGNOSTICATIONS
Pete Fox (VM/Brent Wiseman)
By
Pete Fox
Posted Nov 27, 2008
Traditional rivals on tap for this week, with only Vandy not going for a season-saving game against a hated foe. This is my last set of picks for the year, so ya’ll will have to find someone else to kick around for basketball season. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Week 14
(3-1 last week; 73-15 overall)
The Return of SOV
Sounds like a horror movie....and was!
Auburn
@
Alabama
.—EVERYONE beats Auburn. Certainly the #1 rated team in the country won’t have any trouble. Tide by 17.
Florida
@
Florida State
– The REAL #1 team in the country shouldn’t have any trouble either. Gators by 24.
Georgia Tech
@
Georgia
– I haven’t been impressed with Georgia for a while, now, and the Ramblin’ Wreck is coming on strong. Techsters by 5.
Kentucky
@
Tennessee
– Tennessee is truly an awful team this year. I hope Kentucky can ruin Fulmer’s going-away party and get the loss streak monkey off their backs. Mildcats by 3.
South Carolina
@
Clemson
– Not much to care about here. Maybe they can liven it up with another game-ending brawl. Clemson by 2.
Vanderbilt
@
Wake Forest
-- Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the stadium......SOV returns from the dead. SOV has more lives than Michael Myers in the Halloween movies. SOV was left for dead in Lexington, only to return with a total lack of offense against Tennessee. Can VU put SOV in the ground one more time against Wake Forest? I’m not going to pick a team that can barely break double digits in total offense for a half of football. Wake by 7.
Bonus pick.....Florida by 17 in the SEC Championship game.
Flames and comments will reach me (along with tons of spam) at pafx@yahoo.com
