Ramsay Picks Vanderbilt

Grant Ramsay

Grant Ramsay, a highly regarded offensive lineman from Marrietta, Ga., has committed to Vanderbilt. This is the second commit of the 2010 recruiting class for the Commodore staff. Ramsay said that the academic reputation of Vanderbilt along with the chance to play in the strongest conference figured into his decision.

"I decided that Vanderbilt was my best option because it is a prestigious school, they play in the best conference in the country, and Vanderbilt is close to people who are very important in my life," said Grant Ramsay.

Ramsay, who also considered Minnesota, Central Florida, East Carolina, Marshall and Florida International, said it was a hard choice, "I made it today because I talked everything over thoroughly with my parents and my coaches and decided that Vanderbilt was my choice."

"I'm extremely excited about Vanderbilt and am really looking forward to being a Commodore," said the 6-foot-5 Georgian who is projected to be either a guard or tackle at the next level.
