Even more bothersome
and frustrating is
this young man was gunned down by some thug and POS for talking trash
about a car? I can only hope that Kwane is in a better place and my condolences
go out to the family, friends, and Vanderbilt community. As a Vol fan, I am also
saddened by the passing of Reggie White but for some reason Kwane's death hurts
more. I think it is because Kwane was taken at such a young age and for
something so insignificant as talking trash. It literally makes me sick. Lean on
your faith and my prayers go out to you.

Condolences from
William and Mary
This is such a tragic death. While nothing a stranger can say can console
Kwaye's family and friends in their deepest time of need, I hope it might help a
little to know that the college football family is much smaller than we think.
No matter what division "our" team plays in, we still care about each other.
Everyone is thinking of you and your loved ones Kwaye. I hope the Vandy
community will be able to persevere through such a devastating loss.

Re: Post your
reminiscences / tributes to Kwane Doster below
Talking trash? I think you are referring to the gunman. He was the jerk that
supposedly saw the flashy spinner hubcaps and said "I'm gonna take that car" or
something similar before stalking them. It's all so stupid--a similar incident
happened to Titans Safety Lance Schulters, who was shot at when he was carjacked
for his rims. Having them apparently is a status symbol, but also an open
invitation to thugs who steal the rims and pawn or sell them for a few hundred $
and don't care taking lifes doing it.

Thank you
Kwane...
Thank you for representing Vanderbilt well as a true student-athlete on and off
the field.
Prayers for you, your family and friends.
Rest in
Peace.

I will
miss
chanting, at the very top of my lungs,
"KWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DOSTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR
. . . . DOSTEEER! from the stands on Saturday afternoons. I witnessed his
stunning performance at the Ole Miss game first hand, and was oh so impressed.
As greiving fans who didn't know Kwane personally, we can only imagine the
extreme grief that is being experienced by the family, friends, and loved ones
of this extraordinary young man. You are in our prayers, and we send our deepest
sympathy and condolences. We will miss Kwane tremendously.

Prayers from Bobcat
Nation
I'm so sorry to hear of this horrible tragedy. I never had the pleasure of
meeting Kwane, or even of seeing him play, but I'm deeply saddened by his
passing. By all accounts through this message board he was a wonderful young man
who gave far more than he ever took. That is a tremendous accomplishment for
someone so young and talented.
In his memory, I promise to hug my
children a little tighter tonight and to live more in the moment. Life is too
short and oh, so very unpredictable.
May God hold you all in the palm of
His hands.
Sincerest condolenscenses from Montana

Re: Prayers from

To Bobcat. Thanks for the kind words from Bozeman, or wherever you are in the
beautiful State of Montana. I wish we in the VU community could reply to all
the inspiring posts from folks like you. I know Kwane's family and friends will
read them--maybe not now but later. We are a pretty tight-knit group here.
Thanks again your thoughtful message means a lot.

My prayers are with
the Dosters
I just got back in town and needless to say, I am overwhelmed by this. I hope
that his family finds a way to make it through this extremely difficult
time.
I will do my part to make sure the Dosters make it and I encourage
everyone else to as well. If you can be a friend, do so. If you can spare some
financial help, do so. If you can pray for Kwane's family and friends, please do
so.
Ughhh, crap, pissed, sad, at a loss for words.
