HEAD TO HEAD: VANDERBILT VS. GEORGIA

Vanderbilt visits No. 13 Georgia on Saturday in Athens. VandyMania.com's Don Yates compares the two teams in several critical areas. He also makes a prediction on the game's final score.

Georgia's Achilles Heel Is Vanderbilt's Hope

Plenty of the statistics you sort through each week are interesting to look at, but not all numbers carry equal amounts of weight or relevance. Moreover, styles make fights, so the matchup in one game can often create a unique statistical reality that doesn’t carry over to another. However, one statistic towers above the rest as Vanderbilt prepares for Georgia.

Three Keys Revisited Vanderbilt vs Kentucky

Kentucky met Vanderbilt in the right place and at the right time to end their 17 game SEC losing streak by taking down the hapless ‘Dores 17-7. This felt like a step back from the South Carolina game as the Vanderbilt offense was as anemic as it ever has been, missing a number of opportunities to put pressure on a Wildcats’ team which has no idea how to close out games.

Roanoke's around the SEC: Georgia Week

It is tempting to grow numb to the statistics our offensive brain-trust has put together through five weeks. We have failed to score an offensive touchdown in the majority – 60% – of our games. Our leader in touchdowns, Darrius Sims, does not even play offense. Vandy is near rock bottom in the nation in offensive yards per game, which should surprise no one.

Asiasi talks Vanderbilt offer

De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., is one of the most storied football programs in the country and currently ranked number-one in The Golden State. Devin Asiasi, a 6-foot-5, 253-pound junior defensive end/defensive end became a full-time starter this season and has been reeling in offers ever since. He spoke with VandyMania.com on his recent offer from Vanderbilt, his second SEC offer.

Kentucky 17, Vandy 7: The Good, Bad, Ugly

It was a depressing day for Vanderbilt in Lexington on Saturday. For the third game this season the Commodores failed to score an offensive touchdown. The 'Dores fell 17-7 to drop to 1-4 on the season. Here is a look at the good, bad and ugly from the contest.

Keeping Kentucky in the rear view mirror

Enough is a enough. Losing to a ranked South Carolina and Steve Spurrier is one thing, getting clobbered by Ole Miss is another. However, it's time for the Commodores to take a stand on Saturday in Lexington, a stand for the future of Vanderbilt football.

Peek tells VandyMania.com he's "ecstatic" about the new offer from the Commodore staff.
