Houston enters the NIT with an 18-14

second in the National Division of
Conference USA with a 9-7 mark. Houston
also advanced to the semifinals of the
Conference USA Tournament with victories over East Carolina and Memphis.
Houston is enjoying its best season in
nearly a decade. The Cougars won 18

percentage in a game, best free throw per-centage
in a game and most free throws in

teams in Conference USA this season.

picked to finish sixth in the National
Division by most, but finished second in
the division with a 9-7 league record.
