Vanderbilt gets 12th commit

Bobby Johnson and his staff picked up their twelth commit of the 2010 recruiting year when Karl Butler commmitted to the Commodores according to a report on NewOrleans.com.
Cornerback Karl Butler of Brother Martin high school in New Orleans intercepted four passes and broke up 25 more as a junior. He also made 23 stops for Brother Martin’s squad that finished 9-1 on the year. He was selected to the Coaches’ Second Team All-State team, and he also earned All-Metro and 9-5A First Team All-District honors.
Butler chose Vanderbilt over offers from Virginia, SMU, and Tulane. He also had interest from LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Auburn, Stanford and Mississippi State.
