Foster’s 26 first-half points helped Vanderbilt get out to a big lead, and though Rice’s Morris Almond tossed in 44, the ‘Dores held on for a 74-69 win. The victory in Houston was Vanderbilt’s tenth of the season, giving them a final non-conference record of 10-4.
