2002-03 (Freshman):
Sat out most of the campaign after undergoing corrective surgery in November to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee...Recipient of the team's Academic Award in 2002-03 and earned status on the SEC Academic Honor Roll for his 2001-02 classroom efforts.

2001-02 (Redshirt):
Received a medical redshirt season after being hampered by a stress fracture in his right foot.

High School:
Averaged a team-leading 16.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.2 blocks an outing as a senior, while shooting 60 percent overall from the field and 72 percent from the free-throw line, at Gallatin (Tenn.) High School... Helped lead coach Bobby Luna's Green Wave club to a runner-up finish in the 2001 Tennessee Class AAA state tournament with a 26-9 overall record... Named the District 9-AAA MVP and earned All-Region 5-AAA honors during the 2000-01 campaign, while also being selected to The Tennessean's All-Midstate squad... Also collected first-team all-state laurels as accorded by The Associated Press, the Tennessee Sports Writers' Association (TSWA) and the Tennessee Athletic Coaches' Association (TACA) as a senior... Credited with a game-high 18 rebounds and seven blocked shots, to go along with his nine points, in helping lead the Tennessee team to a 110-105 overtime victory over Georgia in the 2001 Coca-Cola Tennessee-Georgia High School All-Star Basketball Game... Competed head-to-head against fellow State 7-footer Marcus Campbell of Albany's Westover High School in the 2001 Tennessee-Georgia all-star contest... Registered a total of 11 doubles-doubles during the 2000-01 campaign, including four triple-doubles... Tallied his season-high scoring efforts of 30 and 29 points in separate outings against Beech High School... Had 25 points and a season-most 13 rebounds in GHS's semifinal-round tournament win over Greeneville during the 2001 Tennessee Class AAA state tournament... Recorded a career-high 14 blocked shots versus Hunters Lane as a senior... Helped pace Gallatin High School to a third-place team finish at the prestigious 80-team Steamboat Classic in Murray, Ky., the summer prior to his senior season... Averaged six points, six rebounds and four blocked shots per contest as a prep junior in earning most improved player honors and helping Gallatin High School to a 30-5 record and semifinal-round showing in the state tournament... Shot 58 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free-throw line as a junior in collecting All-District 9-AAA and All-Region 4-AAA Tour-nament recognition during the 1999-2000 basketball campaign.
