| C.J. is one of the most ballyhooed signees for Tennessee basketball in recent memory. Should start out his first year at Tennessee as the starting point guard. He was a fourth team Parade High School All-American, 2001 and 2002 Gatorade Nevada Player of the Year, 2001 and 2002 USA Today Nevada Player of the Year, McDonald’s All-America finalist, First team Best In The West selection, First Team All-Sunset Region and Sunset Region MVP. Rated as a Top 40 player nationally. Ranked as the No. 6 player on the West Coast. Bishop Gorman’s all-time leading scorer with 1,732 career points. Averaged 27.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 6.1 steals as a senior. Scored 35 points to go with seven rebounds, six assists and six steals in leading Bishop Gorman to the 2002 state championship. Went 19-for-20 from the free throw line in the championship game. Named the MVP of the State Finals. Led the Gaels to a 28-6 record as a senior. Led Bishop Gorman to appearances in the Class 4A state championship game in three consecutive years, winning the title in 2000 and 2002. Led Bishop Gorman to an 85-14 record in his three seasons. Participated in the 2002 Derby Classic in Louisville. Named to the Millennium Cup All-Tournament team at the Holiday Prep Classic as a senior. Attended the ABCD Camp following his junior season. Averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 4 steals per game as a junior. Coached by Grant Rice.
